Heresy / heretic

The later Egyptian verdict on Akhenaten, who became "the criminal of Akhetaten" in subsequent tradition; modern writers' shorthand for the Amarna break. The hostile epithet is attested later; "heresy" is a modern framing the site uses consciously.
