Thutmose II

< 1 min read

Fourth king of the 18th Dynasty (throne name Aakheperenre), son of Thutmose I and husband of his half-sister Hatshepsut. His short reign put down a rising in Kush, and his son by a lesser wife, Iset, became Thutmose III, with Hatshepsut first as regent and then as king beside him.
