Founder of the 5th Dynasty, around 2490 BCE, who built his pyramid at Saqqara hard against the corner of Djoser's enclosure and raised the first of his dynasty's sun temples at Abusir; one of the ancient royal tombs on the desert escarpment above Memphis.
